We have provided some online tests that will help you identify whether you have a hearing loss that is affecting your life. It is important to remember that these tests, while based on research, are not a substitute for a hearing assessment conducted by a Hearing Care Professional.
Here are some tips to help you achieve the most accurate possible results:
Online Hearing Tests Tips
Tone Test
- Do this in a quiet room
- Use 'insert headphones', or standard headphones, if you have them available
- Do one ear first and then repeat the process for the other ear - you may greater hearing loss in one ear
- Take time to set the “Calibration Tone” to a barely audible level
Self Assessment Test
This test is based on research, yet relies totally on your honest answering of each question to help determine how hearing loss may be affecting your life.
